First, let me get this straight, I didn't make this guy up, and yes there really exists a catguy called Shinigami (I was somewhat surprised as well, but very pleased at the same time ).

Shinigami is a reaper, i.e. god of death, one of two that are found in the Japanese anime series called Full Moon o Sagashite (In Search of the Full Moon) where Takuto (the male Shinigami with cat ears and angel wings), along with Meruko (a rabbit eared Shinigami that has a crush on Takuto) are seen by Mitsuki Kouyama, an earthling girl 12 years of age who is destined to die within a year.

Mitsuki has just one wish left when she hears from the Shinigami that she will soon die, and this wish is to become the idol singer Full Moon. Takuto with his kind heart grants her this wish and makes her 4 years older so that she is able to make an audition. From there on, the clumsy trio get into all kinds of problems as they try to keep her singing career going and switching between her 12 and 16 year old alter egos...

Meruko and Takuto can transform into little rabbit and cat plushies, and overall it becomes very difficult to fear a little Shini like these two
