You Will Hear The Howl, Before You See The Wolf

= Police Station =

The buzz of fans and countless telephone rings filled the offices of the distract Shinjuku Police Station. It seems like the day would never end with the flood of crime reports and countless warrents being issued. It was just too much for the police to handle alone it seemed. A tall hanyou with long snow white hair sat quitely at his desk filling out a police report with intense blue eyes. He sighed after finishing and stood to stretch himself sadly however he forgot how little space he had to move back and managed to impale his set of ram like horns into the wall. A brief struggle later he was running a hand over his forehead shaking his head.

" Damn! Thats the third ti... " He was cut off as a human head poped into his cube and it was a all to fimilar one. He laughted for what seemed like a quarter of a hour before finishing.

" No Mr Goat Demon that was the forth time this week! " He snickered again as the hanyou took a few deep breaths to steady himself. Before turning to his partner looking a little angry.

" What do you want Slitz? I got other things to do if its nothing important " the hanyou stated briskly as his eyes turned towards the stack of paper work which seemed never to end.

" Oh nothing to import Wayward. I was going over a few reports recently hoping for lead but with our budget... " He trailed off knowing the point was made. The telephone suddenly rang as Wayward turned to and answered the phone.

" Shinjuku Police Station Officer Wayward Lone speaking how may I help you sir or ma'ma? " Wayward pauses as he listens to the caller his eyes reflecting no emotion. It seemed like only a few moments before Wayward said to the caller " On behalf of the Shinjuku Police Department I thank you for your help " with that he put the phone down and sighed.

" Whats wrong Way? " Slitz said knowing Wayward only sighed when disappointed or bored.

" Seems like the private sector is doing a better job then we are now a days " He says bitterly. He joined to make a diffrence and here he was now doing paper work as others did the real work making the streets safe or rather safer again. It all was unfair but he would make the best of it and do what he can. Dispatch came to Wayward and Slitz then it seemed a bank was being held up by a demon and a few smaller lessers.

" Well Wayward it seems its time to earn our pay! " Slitz said with a sly smile.

" Finally! I was thinking this paper work would be the death of me... "

Works alone, doesn't like company unless they can help her reach her goal. Can be quite cold and doesn't talk much.

[Yami no Kitsune]

Nanashi: I was out in the old city, scoping out the area. My sources told me that Kojo, a notorious serial-killer, was supposedly hiding out in one of the buildings out here. He had killed and eaten 10 humans, and just killed various others for the fun of it. I was told he was staying in the building that looked the least run-down, and it was the easiest one to spot. I didn't have to worry about being heard, as we Kyuubis could float above the ground so as not to disturb any rubble or make any audible footsteps.

Hopefully, I'd catch this guy unawares... perhaps while he was sleeping I'd spring my trap on him. I knew that he wouldn't come quietly, but if possible I wanted to avoid close combat with Kojo. I heard he had a mean set of claws that could slice through steel like butter so I didn't want to risk it if it wasn't necessary.

Now I was on the second floor of the building, looking through the rooms when I heard movement above, my ears pricking up in reaction. He was still awake then... I would wait down here before making my move, and hope the police didn't barge in and mess things up for me.

= The Bank =

Three police vehicles with sirens wailing weaved in and out of traffic which seemed to thin as they entered the older part of the city. The bank was dark and only the street light revealed its location. The three vehicles parked just outside of the front entrance and 4 officers moved to cover the front and rear entrances. Wayward and Slitz were given the task of guarding the rear entrance.

" Damn Way, Why do we always cover the rear? " Slitz said as he folded his arms.

" Beats me... " Wayward said softly as he checked his single action revolver before placing his hand on the door knob and to no surprise discovered it locked. " So how do we know that someone broke in here? "

" Silent alarm went off but other then that nothing " Slitz drew his weapon as his eyes searched each window for movement. The radio on Waywards hip crackled to life almost barely being drowned out by sirens.

" Suspects sighted in building! Entrance and rear units enter the building now! "

" Now this is going to be a fun night! " Wayward growled as he kicked the door in with a swift and violent kick. The room they entered only greeted them with silence and darkness. They both pulled flash lights for there belts and began to scan the area. The room looked to be a employee lounge area. Wayward sniffed the air slowly as he detected a rather unique scent which sent a chill throught his body. They had soon moved to the next room and slowly up a flight of stairs. Now Wayward smelled two unique scents. This new scent was very close which made Wayward slightly more edgy then normal as his revolver swept from side to side.

" Wayward " Slitz wispered softly as he moved to a near by door. Wayward fellowed as Slitz gave the cover sign and placed his hand on the handle. A silence count began and when 3 had come Slitz throw open the door his gun covering the right side of the room as Wayward covered the left. Running foot steps sounded above them drawing Slitz attention. Wayward however scanned the darkness intensely sensing something was there.

" What a Kitsune!? " Wayward gasps as his flash light reveals several fox like tails which caused a shiver of fear to run his spine.

" Wayward I Count nine tails! God helps us we don't have the fire power for this! " Cried out Slitz as he retreated back a few steps his gun leveled yet his hands shaking with what only could be fear. It took both officers a moment to gather there senses before both could step forward and call out.

" Freeze! Shinjuku Police drop your weapons and lay down on the ground! " Wayward's voice cracked a bit as he finished speaking a trace of fear still lingering. He cursed himself silently wishing he had not heard so many tales about Kitsune and knowing that nine tails marked a Kitsune as being nearly unbeatable.
